Understanding the Landscape
Getting to know The Greenway.

To begin The Greenway Project, we set out to learn more about the area’s history, heritage, landscape and the people who use it. Through walks, observations, conversations, we explored what makes The Greenway unique and how it connects to the wider community.
Our research resulted in a living map of The Greenway and a collection of uncovered local stories. The living map documents wildlife, entry and exit points, places of rest and everyday activity. The collection delves into the past, present and future of local areas, investigating industrial heritage ,folklore and shared memories.
We also explored existing walking trails, including the nature trail, heritage trail and Kenilworth Revealed AR Trail, to see how creative and digital experiences can help people connect with the local places.
Together this research helped us build an understanding of the local area and Greenway to help shape the next stage of the project.
